Melrose Rugby Football Club was founded in 1877 and is in the Premiership Division One. The new Melrose Hornets team is bringing rugby to a new generation. Melrose Sevens is the original seven a side rugby tournament.
History in Melrose
Melrose has a rich history, with architectural attractions, museums and exhibitions including the oldest continuously inhabited village in Scotland. Stone for Melrose Abbey was brought from Maxton Parish, a few miles away.
Information and Things to Do
Melrose has plenty to see and do, with the Wynd Theatre, an active Music Society and Melrose Pipes and Drums. Melrose has stunning scenery, and several walks and cycle rides.
