Melrose Fire-Fighters visit Bavaria

In March 1998 three Melrose fire-fighters Ian Anderson, Frank Preston and Gordon Blain, along with fire-fighters from Selkirk and Galashiels visited the Bavarian town of Plattling. The three fire stations are collectively known as Group 9.

The purpose of the visit was to form a social partnership between the two areas with the idea being to promote social and cultural relationships.
