Princess Anne Visits St Mary's School Melrose
Opening the new Sanderson Building at St Mary's School, The Princess Royal spent almost 3 hours in Melrose. The extension houses 5 new classrooms including new science and art facilities. Following the official opening ceremony the Royal guest was entertained by both junior and senior pupils who performed songs from this years school productions of Joseph and Treasure Island.
Commenting on the day Headmaster John Brett said that the visit had been a great success.
