Melrose Amateur Operatic Society

2002 Productions

Auditions have been held and rehearsals have already begun for our performances of 'Trial by Jury' and 'H.M.S. Pinafore' which will be performed between 18th and 23rd February, 2002 starting at 7.30pm. Ticket prices will be added in due course.

Nancy Muir will act as musical director and Hazel Devlin will produce 'Trial by Jury' assisted by Colin Smith. Hazel and Colin will produce 'H.M.S. Pinafore' while Jim Letham will be musical director.

This year Melrose Operatic Society staged a hugely successful production of Gilbert and Sullivans' The Grand Duke at the Corn Exchange.
Rave reviews were received from all corners, with the company enjoying an end of production party on Saturday evening.

The company is always on the look out for new faces, particularly tenors and altos and anyone who is willing to take part in this year's rehearsals will be very welcome. It would be appreciated if anyone who is interested would assist backstage with the removal and setting up of scenery etc.
