On the slopes of the beautiful Eildon Hills just outside Melrose is a lovely range of traditional farm buildings converted into six modern, comfortable family vacation accommodation rentals. Five of the award-winning cottages have unassisted wheelchair access and are ideal for the disabled and their families. Facilities include colour TV and video, washer-dryers in three cottages and car parking beside each cottage. All linen and towels are provided and beds are made up with duvets and two pillows each. Dogs and cats are welcomed by arrangement with a small charge of £10 per week. 
Disabled FacilitiesFive of the six cottages are graded category 1 by the Scottish Tourist Board as being suitable for unassisted wheelchair users. These cottages have at least one bedroom on the ground floor level, in many cases all bedrooms, with either a bathroom or wheel-in shower room. Overhead electric hoists are available from bedroom to bath room or from bedroom to wheel-in shower. Additional equipment is available on request, including propad mattress, commode, folding wheelchair, raised WC seat, trapeze (monkey) pull, wheel-in shower chair and RADAR key to public disabled WC. A portable hoist is available with remote control at a cost of £40 per week; this has its own sling, or please bring your own.
