Jim Shanks HGV, LGV and PCV Driver Training School has over 30 years tuition experience with a pass rate second to none and has successfully trained over 2000 drivers in the Scottish Borders, Northumberland and the North of England, Cumbria, Dumfries and Galloway, Edinburgh and Lothian areas.

Jim not only trains the candidates to pass the test, he trains them to be confident, competent and completely professional HGV drivers with the inherent knowledge that good drivers take good care of their vehicles.

Car and Trailer Training and Test
If you passed your car test after 1st January 1997 you are only permitted to tow a trailer up to 750kg or a M.A.M. of 3500kg. To lift this restriction on your licence you must pass the D.S.A. practical test B&E Car and Trailer. No theory test is required but you must hold a full car licence Category B. Jim will provide professional comprehensive practical training to reach the D.S.A. test standard. He will also book your practical driving test at the completion of training.
